Turkish foreign minister attends NATO meeting in Brussels

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan attended the Foreign Ministers Working Session of the North Atlantic Council on Wednesday in Brussels.

Fidan met with his British counterpart David Lammy as part of the meeting, according to information obtained from Turkish Foreign Ministry sources. The two sides discussed the issue of Syria during the talks.

​​​​​​​Fidan also met with Greek Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis, his German counterpart Annalena Baerbock, Canada's top diplomat Melanie Joly and Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albares.

Separately, Fidan met with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha on the sidelines of the session, according to Turkish diplomatic sources.

Fidan also met with the EU’s new foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas.
