France does not let Turkish citizens living in England transit pass to Turkey through their country. I can hear you whisper " it is their own country. They have every right to do whatever they wish to do." It is not the case.
France claining to be one of the 3 founders of European Union does not care about international travel regulations and human rights policy.
When Turkish citizens who have the indefinite leave to remain in England would like to go to Turkey through France by their own vehicles eith all complete documents, are not allowed to do so for some silly, ninsense reasons. Yes, you did hear it right!.
This year Turkish citizens, despite having Schengen pass seals on their passports, are not let go to Turkey through France because of the France officers' arbitrary decisions, that is why both their financial situations and travel plans have been damaged. (If a decent French authority person reads it by chance, I am ready to show every evidence.
It is not known if it is a French polucy or just the racist attitudes of a bunch of workers!) Therefore, Turkish people's ship tickets and visa fees are wasted. Besides, as the time limited and the objection which is to be made to the Consulate are the main factors effecting the visa denial objection process, which takes weeks sometimes months. As there are too many applications, time is very limited and there is a dead end to make applications to Belgium and Holland because the person got rejected by a European country, there gets no enough time for a new application process.
The people's holiday plans are ruined and there gets only one choice left which is travel by plane of which fares are extremely high. This is against the hunan rights policy of European Union and the international travel rights. This is just an example of how the European Union spirit got corrupted fast. European Union or France might not be aware of what is happening.
However, it is a known fact that the EU countries have some sort of dislike against people living in England due to Brexit (at least the visa officers at the Consulates show it that way ). Furthermore, after the dispute between a French Parliament member, Sonia Krimi with the foreign minister of Turkey,Mr. Mevlut Cavusoglu in the NATO meeting in 2019 is not in a good relationship frame caused by France itself.
France, being not hapoy with England due to Brexit, us in a hostile manner towards Turkey and Turkish citizens. The real underlying reason is the failure of their own representatives and diplomats, whereas, Turkey France relations goes back in history.
French people are undoubtedly out of this issue but French diplomats and France are not good mannered.
People of these teo counties have been friends all the time. France is also deaf to its own citizensas seen in the case of Yellow Vest, which emphasises the despotism of French to its own citizens. We really hope French people can get their good, old days back.
During Ottoman Empire time Francois of France got captivated following the Pavye War on 24th of February 1525, and Francois’ mother Duchess Dangolen wrote a letter to Suleyman the Magnificent and sent it with ambassador Count Jan do Franjipan.
The letter of the King as below:
“ I had left my son’s freedom to the fairness of Charles. But, he is insulting my son. I entreaty you to make my son free with your great world sovereignty, and grand power that the world recognised”.
Therefore, Sultan Suleyman sent two letters to both to the queen and to Francois and he said:
“You! Francois, the King of French province! You have sent a letter to us with your ambassador and informed us about the enemy that entered to your country and imprisoned you. So, you asked our favour for your freedom. It is not bizarre for a sovereign to be defeated or to be imprisoned. Do not worry about it. We have taken our arms and have been riding our horses for days and nights. Every thing will be as the God wishes”.
The German Emperor Charles, was defeated in the Mohac War and he went in fear with the siege of Vienna and he freed Francois.
Interestingly, Sultan Suleyman addresses the French King as, “You! Francois, the king of the French province”. This addressing reveals that, Kanuni saw France as a small province and the French King as a governor.

I, who am the sultan of sultans, the sovereign of sovereigns, the dispenser of crowns to the monarchs on the face of the earth, shadow of god on earth, the sultan and sovereign lord of the Mediterranean and the Black Sea, of Rumelia and Anatolia, of Karamania and the land of Rum, of Zulkadria, Diyarbakir, of Kurdistan, of Azerbaijan, Persia, Damascus, Cairo, Aleppo, of the Mecca and Medina, of Jerusalem, of all Arabia, of the Yemen and many other lands, which my noble forefathers and my glorious ancestors - may God light up their tombs - conquered by the force of their arms and which my august majesty has made subject to my flaming sword and victorious blade, I, Sultan Süleyman Han, to thee, who art Francis, king of the land of France ...
